Franklin Street Green Infrastructure Project
This notification is to inform you of the NewarkDIG/Rutgers Water Resources Program green infrastructure installation on Franklin Street alongside City Hall. This work is designed to capture stormwater and reduce the burden on our sewer system while adding greenery and beautification.
This work is set to begin on or around August 17, 2026 and continue until approximately the beginning of October 2026, depending on weather conditions. Additional planting in the area may continue starting in Spring 2027, depending on weather conditions. Work hours for the project will be XXam - XXpm, XXday through XXday.
